County amends 2023 SEFA to correct balances affecting 2024 CIFA before audit

Oklahoma County commissioners on June 24 approved an amendment to the county's previously submitted 2023 Schedule of Expenditures of Federal Awards (SEFA), county officials said.
County Clerk Wilkerson and staff explained the amendment is a cleanup to ensure the SEFA and the beginning balances for the 2024 County Indigent Fund Audit (CIFA) are correct before being sent to auditors. "This is just an amendment to our previously submitted 2023 SEFA, which also affects the beginning balances of our 2024 CIFA. So this is a cleanup item to make sure everything is correct to have those sent off audit," a county staff member said.
The board moved and seconded approval of the amendment; the motion carried by voice vote.
