The Covington County Commission announced two expired appointments to the county’s E-911 board and reappointed two members who indicated a willingness to continue serving.
Commission staff noted two appointments to the Covington County E-911 board had expired at the end of the previous month. The chair said he had spoken with both appointees and that both were willing to be reappointed. A motion from Commissioner Ben to reappoint the two individuals (identified in the meeting as Mike and Michael) was seconded and approved by voice vote. Commissioners noted one of the E-911 seats is traditionally held by the sheriff’s office.
No terms, effective dates, or job descriptions for the board positions were read into the record during the public meeting; staff indicated the reappointments would be processed.
