Hoffman Estates trims Plan Commission, approves new appointments

Trustee Mills asked whether zoning duties would be preserved; staff responded that “all the duties and responsibilities of the commission remain the same.” A Scrivener’s error was identified in section 4-8-4(d) where the old name still appears; trustees agreed to strike the outdated reference.
The board approved the ordinance and then voted to confirm the proposed Plan Commission appointments and a broader slate of reappointments to multiple boards and commissions. Roll-call votes recorded ayes from Trustees Palafis, Stanton, Arnott, Keneen, Mills, Newell/Noll and Mayor McLeod; motions carried with no recorded opposition in the transcript.
