The Orange County School Board voted June 24 to approve revisions to policy JIC, the district’s code of student conduct, after three work sessions and notice to bargaining groups.
Superintendent Dr. Vasquez told the board that policy JIC had undergone three work sessions in April, May and June and that notification was provided to both the Orange County Classroom Teachers Association (CTA) and OESPA on May 28 and publicly published June 1. He said the revisions reflect feedback gathered in those sessions.
Board member Angie Gallo moved to approve the policy; Member Douglas seconded the motion. Chair Jacobs called for the vote; members voted aye and the motion carried. The transcript records no additional public comment on the public‑hearing agenda item.
The approval concludes the public‑hearing portion for this revision. The board did not record additional edits or amendments during the final vote at the June 24 meeting.
