A lifelong resident and pastor described chronic flooding on County Road 61, saying bridge removals and road raising have restricted flow and damaged property; commissioners directed the road engineer to inspect and report back.

Michael Morris, pastor of Mount Zion Church on County Road 61, told the Chilton County Commission that work done when the road was paved roughly 15 years ago — removing older bridge structures and replacing them with smaller culvert pipe — has restricted stream flow and increased flooding near the northern end of the road.
