Washington County IT reports cloud migration, network upgrades and vulnerability work

The staff member described cloud-migration work to move data to platforms such as Microsoft SharePoint and Microsoft Teams and called the migration “one of those longer projects that's gonna take multiple years because we have so much data.”
Staff reported network-switch replacements at the Public Agency Center will be completed floor by floor with the final floor scheduled for next week; wireless access points that provide the building Wi‑Fi are five to six years old and are staged for replacement. The presentation noted internal progress on a vulnerability-management program, including security patching procedures; staff singled out Eric (role not fully specified) for leading that work.
IT staff also said shared-services onboarding is nearly complete for several small municipalities — Town of Farmington, Town of Keywascom and Town of Aaron — with remaining tasks to migrate mail systems to Office 365 and finish cutovers.
