Granite County commissioners approved and signed the DUI task-force plan for state fiscal year 2026 during the May 20 meeting.
Staff said the task force plan summarizes coordination among local law enforcement, highway patrol and partner agencies; a public commenter said the plan is a “good plan” though it is not a budget document. Commissioners moved, seconded and approved the plan and signature page.
The vote authorizes county participation in the task force and allows the county to carry out planned enforcement and outreach activities described in the plan. Staff indicated the plan includes engagement with Montana Highway Patrol and other agencies and that the plan’s budget and activity schedule will be implemented under existing county agreements.
No contested public comment or changes to the plan were recorded at the meeting.
