The Planning and Zoning Commission voted 7-0 to call a public hearing to amend the Research Technology (RT) zoning district to correct an administrative error related to parking provisions.
Staff said the RT district had been amended in 2011 to delete certain parking language; when the zoning ordinance was reformatted and readopted in 2015, that deleted text was mistakenly reinserted. The proposed corrective amendment would remove the reinserted section to restore the 2011 intent.
Jordan Rockerby, lead planner, described the request as administrative and straightforward; commissioners had no substantive questions. Commissioner Christopher Rudolph moved to call the public hearing and Commissioner Lingenfelter seconded; the motion passed 7 to 0.
Staff noted the item is legislative in nature and will return following the public hearing with final ordinance language.
