The Crook County Board of Commissioners on May 21 authorized a letter to U.S. Senators Jeff Merkley and Ron Wyden urging support for the Secure Rural Schools (SRS) reauthorization. County staff presented a draft letter and asked the board whether to send it now or wait for an absent commissioner; the board approved sending the letter immediately to coincide with congressional action.
