Planning commission asks staff to draft code language to enable annual work-plan requests to council
After discussing two options, the Sequim Planning Commission asked planning staff to draft a short code amendment that would require the commission to determine its annual work plan by July each year and to circulate the draft to the commission before forwarding it to council.

The Sequim Planning Commission discussed proposed additions to Sequim Municipal Code section 2.36 that would give the commission a formal avenue to bring issues to the city council for consideration. The City Council earlier had expressed interest in ensuring boards and commissions can bring forward topics while preserving staff and financial guardrails.
