Bryan County adopts updated Emergency Operations Plan

The Bryan County Board of Commissioners voted unanimously to adopt an updated Emergency Operations Plan (EOP) presented by the county’s emergency management director.
Staff described the EOP as a comprehensive update that outlines how county agencies and partners will respond to and recover from emergencies and disasters, covering natural hazards, accidents and public‑health incidents. Ally Padgett, Bryan County Emergency Management Agency director, led the presentation and acknowledged participation from agency staff in preparing the plan.
Commissioners moved to approve and adopt the EOP as presented. No amendments or directed follow‑up study were requested during the meeting; staff will proceed with implementation and operational use of the updated plan.
The new EOP will guide county emergency response coordination and recovery planning, and is intended to replace the prior plan in current use.
