Weld County approves multiple procurement awards: trucks, IT support, tents; two projects continued

Weld County commissioners approved several procurement items Wednesday across fleet, information technology and fair services while continuing review on two other solicitations.
Fleet Services and Public Works recommended awarding a tandem-axle flatbed multipurpose truck bid to Transliss Trucks Incorporated for $380,588 and a tandem-axle dump truck (two units, including sander and plow) to Transwest Trucks Incorporated for $860,414. The board moved, seconded and approved both awards.
Information Technology staff recommended awarding an InfoBlox maintenance and support contract to Trace 3 Government LLC (Colorado Springs) for $78,095.40; the board approved that recommendation as presented.
Also approved were tent rental services for the 2025 Weld County Fair. Mikayla Gable, the county fair coordinator, told the board the fair board recommended Mountain View Tent Company for two tents over the swine and cattle show areas in a contract amount of $23,690; the board approved the contract.
Fleet Services also presented a single 2025 police SUV interceptor purchase to replace a vehicle lost in a crash. Using the Colorado state cooperative purchasing agreement, Fleet recommended buying the 2025 police SUV (state contract number 193824) from Seal Terhaar Motors Inc. for $49,130; the board approved that resolution.
Two items were continued for further evaluation: the public safety communications console furniture solicitation (B2500024) was extended to May 28, 2025, to allow additional bid evaluation, and the County Road 72 and 76 pavement project solicitation (B2500020) remains under review with a recommendation date yet to be determined.
Board members asked no substantive follow-up questions during the approvals and took voice votes approving the listed awards.
