A group of developers and city staff presented the Ames City Council on Tuesday with a preliminary list of infrastructure asks tied to several proposed housing projects on the city’s growth fringe. The combined requests included oversizing of water and sewer mains, public road work, right‑of‑way acquisition and other developer‑requested costs that staff estimated could total about $10 million if the city granted every ask.
