Committee approves step increase for Code Reviser Kathy Buckley

Kathy Buckley could not approve her own step increase, committee members said. "Everybody in our office staff is, will be getting a step increase in July, to be reflected on the July 25 payroll checks," Allison (deputy code reviser) said, adding that Buckley requires committee approval because she cannot approve her own increase.
Representative Goodman called for a motion to approve the step increase. A committee member moved and the committee approved the increase by voice vote. Committee members offered congratulatory remarks to Buckley during the meeting.
Minutes and public materials reflect that the committee's approval covers the single step increase for Buckley; staff said other office-wide step increases did not require committee approval.
