A council member who also serves on the fire district board presented a proposed rewrite of the fire district joint‑powers agreement, saying the condensed draft incorporates three amendments from the original text, removes redundant language and reduces the document from approximately 11 pages to four. The council member said the proposed text is intended to preserve the substance of the existing agreement while modernizing and clarifying language.
