The Solanco School District Board of School Directors on June 2 approved a three-year contract with EdInsight to consolidate state testing, diagnostic assessments and MTSS data into a single system.
District staff said EdInsight has been used for about 10 years and the proposed contract includes a 30-day written termination clause with no penalty. "We used it for the last 10 years... this agreement would actually go into 3 years out and it does give us the ability to break it should we need," a staff presenter said.
Staff also told the board that the vendor’s latest price came in higher than preferred but the company reduced pricing before the current proposal; the district is actively vetting at least one other provider for comparable services. The board approved the agreement by voice vote with no recorded opposition.
Board members asked about termination and penalties; staff confirmed termination requires a 30-day written notice and no financial penalty was described in the meeting.
