County staff recommends $7.26 million low bid for South Cloverdale–Comfor intersection project
Public Works reported a low, responsible bid of $7,256,372.86 from Jefferies Construction for the South Cloverdale Road–Comfor intersection improvement; funding will come from a mix of STP, CRAB, ARPA and county road funds and the project will likely pause over winter for fish-window timing.

Susan Eugenis, Cowlitz County engineer, told the Board that Public Works received six bids for the joint South Cloverdale Road–Comfor intersection improvement project and that the lowest responsible bidder was Jefferies Construction LLC at $7,256,372.86. Eugenis said that figure is about $1 million less than the engineer’s estimate and that the first four bids were within $400,000 of each other.
