Jenny (Commissioner) asked whether local partners had been engaged; county staff said part of the grant requirements includes inviting local partners and that multiple neighboring counties have participated in similar plans. A motion to approve the application was made and seconded; the board voted to approve the grant application.
Commissioners instructed staff to ensure that local partners and agencies are invited to participate in development of the plan, consistent with the grant requirements. No dollar amount for the grant award was reported during the meeting; staff will return with application details and subsequent administrative steps as the grant process continues.
