Whatcom County to repave Everson-Goshen Road starting June 2; five-week detour requested

Roland Middleton of Whatcom County Public Works said the agency will begin repaving Everson-Goshen Road from Pole Road to Smith Road on Monday, June 2, and expects crews to work about five weeks.
Middleton said the work will cover the entire stretch between those intersections. "We're out on Everson Goshen Road. And if you're 1 of the thousands of people that drive this road on a weekly basis, you know that it needs some work. We'll be starting next Monday, June 2, repaving the entire stretch from Pole Road all the way down to Smith Road," he said.
"The crews will be working on it for about 5 weeks," Middleton added. He said the road would "technically be open for people that live along the roadway," but asked that other drivers use a posted detour. Middleton asked drivers to avoid Everson-Goshen Road while work is under way for about the next five weeks.
