The Hewitt Public Library on Tuesday outlined its 2025 summer reading program and promotional plans, including a kickoff event May 31 and changes to participant tracking and prizes.
Library Director Matthew Glossary told the Hewitt City Council that registration opened the same day and that staff were already seeing early participation: “So we are about just under 2 weeks away from our annual summer reading program.” He described goals to encourage “family engagement in literacy and development based activities” and to reduce the typical summer learning loss.
