WMSC flags ATO overruns, 7,000-series software fixes and delayed 8,000-series safety documents
The WMSC reported hundreds of automatic train operation overruns in the last 90 days and said software updates to the 7,000-series fleet (version 6.2) could cut overruns by 35–40%. The commission also said WMATA has not provided key safety-certification documents for the 8,000-series railcars, delaying WMSC review.
