Planning staff reports progress on comprehensive-plan advisory groups, surveys

Planning staff gave a brief update May 13 on the county’s comprehensive plan update: four advisory groups are meeting, three of the four groups have had their second meeting, and the historic-preservation group’s second meeting was rescheduled. Staff said paper surveys are available at three county locations and that flyers with QR codes were distributed.
Staff reported 571 electronic survey responses as of the meeting; paper surveys and drop boxes were also available. The deadline for survey returns is May 30.
Commissioners had no substantive objections to the update schedule. Staff said advisory-group meetings and public outreach will continue through the summer months.
