Amendment clarifies $2 million brownfields cleanup transfer to Environmental Contingency Fund
Staff told the committee that language in H.479 needed a technical fix to transfer remaining brownfields cleanup money to the Environmental Contingency Fund so the Department of Environmental Conservation can spend it. The committee accepted the technical correction and asked staff to include it in the amendment package.

A technical amendment to H.479 will authorize the secretary of natural resources to use a remaining $2,000,000 from an earlier brownfields appropriation, after committee staff corrected statutory language to transfer the money into the Environmental Contingency Fund.
