The Anchorage Assembly on April 16 approved an omnibus ordinance (AO 2025-37, as amended) to revise Title 7 of the municipal code governing purchasing, contracts and professional services. Sponsors described the rewrite as a modernization effort intended to clarify definitions, improve readability, update approval thresholds and better capture information the assembly needs when it is asked to approve contracts or receive post‑award reports.
