The Anchorage Assembly on April 16 adopted a resolution (AR 2025-116 S1, as amended) calling for greater partnerships among the state, the Municipality of Anchorage, the Anchorage School District (ASD) and Anchorage Police Department (APD) to keep students safer. The resolution passed unanimously, 12–0, after sponsors and other members amended language to emphasize non‑punitive, trauma‑informed approaches and to add provisions on parental partnership and community‑based solutions.
