The Lacey Parks, Culture and Recreation Board approved updated rules and procedures at its May 7 meeting to reflect consistent terminology and to align with provisions in the Lacey Municipal Code and the city’s advisory-board handbook.
Staff said the administrative edits change references to member titles ("commissioners" vs. "board members"), update the agenda outline to match current practice, and bring quorum language into agreement with the municipal code. The public comment policy was also directed to the council and advisory-board handbook language; staff noted the handbook contains the operative details.
A motion to adopt the updated rules and procedures was moved and seconded and passed by voice vote with no opposition.
Staff said the revisions formalize practices the board already follows and will help ensure consistency between the board’s internal procedures and the municipal code going forward.
