Contractor reports steady progress on county construction project

Jeff Curtis, speaking remotely, gave the board an update on an ongoing county construction project and reported active work across trades on site.
Curtis said roughly 16 to 20 tradespeople were on site working on concrete, underground plumbing and electrical. He reported the first load of concrete masonry unit (CMU) block had arrived for interior masonry walls, that foundation work and interior footings are in progress, and that long-lead items such as the generator (estimated 25-week lead time) and automatic transfer switches (about 18 weeks) are on order through Sourcewell procurement. Curtis said pay applications and submittals are progressing and that the construction manager will upload the project schedule into the project-management system.
Board members thanked Curtis for the updates and asked that staff continue to circulate daily logs and drone photos that have been shared with the board via email.
