Commission approves one-year special exception for homeowner to reside in RV during construction

The Upson County Board of Commissioners voted April 22 to grant a special-exception permit allowing Dennis Roth of Milton, Florida, to reside in an RV on his Upson County property while he builds a home.

County staff described the request as a special exception under the zoning code (section cited in the staff report as 505.d.2). The applicant told the board he purchased roughly seven acres and plans to build a house; he asked to live in an RV on the lot during construction. Commissioner Watson moved to approve the exception; Commissioner Ellington seconded. The board recorded unanimous assent in roll call and the chair closed the public hearing.
