Commissioners accept rankings for countywide panic-button system; AIO Security Solutions tops list

Henderson County Commissioners on April 8 accepted the results of a qualifications review for a countywide panic-button/security system and authorized staff to begin contract negotiations with the ranked firms.
County technology and facilities staff presented the committee’s scoring of three responses: AIO Security Solutions ranked first, Synergix Rent second and Alertus third. The project is intended to address panic-button or rapid-alert capabilities across approximately 19–20 county buildings and to leverage the county’s radio system to improve emergency response.
Mr. Torrez, who presented the committee’s ranking, said the review was a qualifications-based process and that the county seeks new technology to integrate with its radio system. No cost or contract terms were presented at the meeting; commissioners voted to accept the rankings to begin negotiations.
Motion and vote: Motion to accept the rankings was made by Commissioner McCam and seconded by Commissioner Tooley. The motion passed unanimously.
What’s next: County staff will begin negotiations with the top-ranked firm; the court did not vote on a contract award or dollar amount at this meeting.
