Anchorage Advisory Committee finalizes logistics for Cruiser Day appreciation event

The Anchorage Advisory Committee on April 16 finalized operational plans for a Cruiser Day appreciation event at Bayside Park, confirming table and chair allocations, volunteer assignments, ticketing procedures and a $25 meal‑coupon arrangement with Snug Harbor restaurant.

Committee member Jennifer Rusk said the floor layout will be three tables across in five rows, with nonprofits and registration using 17 tables and about 35 chairs, and an extra table for Beachfront if needed. “It’s gonna be really nice the way it’s set up. It’s 3 tables across, 5 rows,” Rusk said, describing aisles of roughly six feet between table rows.

The plan emphasizes day‑of logistics: committee volunteers and some town staff will arrive starting at 10 a.m. to clean and set up tables, with official registration opening at 1 p.m.; boater introductions are scheduled for 1:45 p.m.; nonprofit presentations at 2 p.m.; the prize drawings at 3 p.m.; and a band, Riverside, scheduled to start at 4 p.m. Rusk said tables and chairs will be picked up midweek, stored near the trailer at Matanzas Inn, and moved to Bayside Park Sunday…
