District staff said contractors are coordinating proof‑rolling and compaction testing on the post‑tension concrete pad for the tennis area; the contractors will delay mobilizing until geotechnical engineers sign off that compaction meets specifications to preserve warranty coverage.
On the activity buses, staff said both vehicles are in the Lincoln area for final inspections. The district has solicited graphics mockups from two vendors — one in Lincoln and one in Omaha — and told the board those firms will deliver design proposals before applying district‑approved decals. The superintendent said the goal is to take possession of the buses by early April if inspections and graphics can be completed on schedule; staff emphasized the district is seeking vendor proposals that keep graphic costs below the district’s informal approval threshold.
Separately, staff said insurance work tied to recent facility damage is nearly complete: a replacement plan for a long‑run translucent gable skylight was approved and the insurer negotiated pricing with contractors that will allow much of the damaged roofing work to be upgraded to metal with only a minimal deductible to the district.
