Nevada County OKs MOU with Partnership Health Plan to Provide Enhanced Care Management for Medically Complex Children

Nevada County supervisors voted unanimously on March 11 to approve an MOU with Partnership Health Plan of California that formalizes Nevada County Public Health as an enhanced care management provider for children served through the California Children's Services (CCS) program.

County Public Health Director Kathy Cahill told the board the agreement will allow the county to bill Partnership for enhanced care management services and continue case coordination for medically complex children and their families as state Medi-Cal programs move to the CalAIM 'whole child' model. "The MOU that we are proposing is really a MOU with our managed care plan here in Nevada County, Partnership, and we want to establish it for purposes of really formalizing Nevada County as an enhanced care case manager," Cahill said.
