Votes at a glance: minutes, contracts, rate changes and advisements

The Rutherford County Purchasing Committee recorded the following formal actions during its meeting.

Votes at a glance

- Approval of minutes: Commissioners approved minutes from the Feb. 11 and Feb. 18 meetings by motion and voice vote.

- Body-removal transport RFP: Motion to reject both responses and review the RFP passed (see separate article). No award made.

- GPS monitoring contract: Motion to award a contract to Tracking Solutions for GPS monitoring services passed on a roll call vote (see separate article).

- AmeriMed (EMS transports) price adjustment: Commissioners approved a small price adjustment for AmeriMed emergency medical transports (per-mile and service-level rates adjusted to match Medicare-allowable references); the motion passed on roll call.

- 20 North chiller replacement: Approval of the bid for rooftop chiller replacement passed on roll call (see separate article); staff to coordinate encumbrance and budget appropriation timing.

- Medicare Advantage and other insurance solicitations: Multiple solicitations (Medicare Advantage, group life, long-term disability and ancillary benefits) were opened and taken under advisement so that Gallagher and staff can evaluate proposals and return recommendations to the committee; motions to take the procurement results under advisement passed.

- Recovery code re-bid: One rebid for a recovery-code project received no proposals; staff will regroup and consider a later rebid.

The committee recorded roll-call affirmations on items requiring contract awards. Several matters were taken under advisement and will return to risk management and purchasing committees with recommendations before full-commission action as required.
