Committee backs bill to codify Idaho State Police fingerprint services for vulnerable populations
House Bill 19 would place in statute the Idaho State Police practice of providing fingerprint services to qualified organizations that serve children, the elderly and people with disabilities. The Senate committee sent the bill to the floor with a do-pass recommendation by voice vote.

The Senate Judiciary & Rules Committee voted to send House Bill 19 to the Senate floor with a do-pass recommendation. The bill, introduced to the committee by Senator Kaiser on behalf of Representative Pahanka and Lieutenant Colonel Russ Wheatley of the Idaho State Police, codifies in statute the agency’s practice of providing fingerprinting services for qualified organizations that serve vulnerable populations.
