Planning Commission approves rezoning for HVAC contractor in Oak Ridge (Z‑5)
Cobb County Planning Commission approved a request from Alireza Mahmoudi to rezone a property from GC to NRC for a heating and air contractor, subject to ten conditions including setbacks, department comments, parking striping, landscape buffering and a prohibition on outdoor storage.

The Cobb County Planning Commission on March 4, 2025, approved by a 3-0 vote a rezoning request from Alireza Mahmoudi to change a parcel from General Commercial (GC) to Neighborhood Retail Commercial (NRC) to allow a heating and air contractor to operate at the southwest corner of West Atlanta Street and Oak Ridge Drive.
