The Butte-Silver Bow Council opened three bids for hot-mix asphalt for the county Roads Division and referred the submission to the Public Works Department for award review. The bids were read publicly: Jeffrey Contracting of Butte bid $84.50 per ton (total $1,267,500); Hollow Contracting of Butte bid $74 per ton (total $1,110,000); and Montana Materials & Construction bid $74 per ton (total $1,110,000).
