The commission approved five housekeeping items from the tax commissioner including payment schedule, waiver authority for tax bills under $1, accepted payment methods, clerical error correction authority and removing property from the digest when taxpayers move out of county.

Jones County commissioners on Jan. 17 voted to approve a set of routine administrative requests from the tax commissioner's office that staff said are housekeeping items submitted at the start of each four‑year term.
