Lake County Community Development to switch permitting software from Accela to OpenGov; counter closed briefly for data migration
Lake County’s Community Development Department announced a transition from Accela to OpenGov for electronic permitting, with the public counter closed Feb. 28 for data transfer and a planned go-live on March 3. Staff said current active projects will be migrated by department staff and OpenGov will provide two weeks of 'hyper care' support.

Lake County’s Community Development Department told the Planning Commission on Feb. 27 that it will replace its existing Accela electronic permitting system with OpenGov, temporarily closing the public counter to migrate data and prepare for a March 3 go-live.
