Lake County Community Development to switch permitting system to OpenGov; counter closed Feb. 28 for data transfer
County planning staff said Feb. 27 they will replace the Accela permitting system with OpenGov, temporarily closing the public counter on Feb. 28 and going live March 3, 2025. Staff will import active projects and provide applicant support during the transition.

Lake County Community Development told the Planning Commission Feb. 27, 2025, it will switch its electronic permitting system from Accela to OpenGov to improve usability and align county processes with neighboring cities.
