Commission approves $7,850 cloud-based HVAC control upgrade for event center
The commission approved a Trane front-end controller upgrade for the Seward County Event Center that moves HVAC controls to a cloud-based system and includes training; the one-time cost of $7,850 will be paid from the county buildings account.

Linda Johnson, director of the event center and fairgrounds, asked commissioners to approve an upgrade to the building’s HVAC control system. Mike Hyland of Trane described the project as a front-end controller upgrade that will make the system cloud-based and allow authorized staff and vendors to monitor and adjust temperatures remotely.
