The district reviewed existing specs with area superintendents and school staff before modernization design and plans to revisit the specifications on a multi‑year cadence.
Community engagement and approvals: Zimmerman emphasized that every major project will return to the board for design and construction funding and that capital funding reviews with the state and zoning questions (for campus consolidations) are part of the implementation sequence.
Trustee input: trustees praised the team’s work and asked specifics about educational specifications and campus inclusion; Trustee Hall complimented new language around the “campus” concept intended to preserve community identity when schools consolidate.
Next steps: board consideration of design‑phase and construction‑phase funding will follow individual project approvals; Zimmerman asked trustees to expect annual CIP updates and routine returns for funding votes.
