Vernon County veterans office reports surge in claims work, flags VA backlog

Crystal, the county veteran services staff, told the Vernon County Human Services meeting that the office handled thousands more contacts and new claims in the past year and is managing delays at the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs evidence-intake process.
