Calvin confirmed that the facilities group does some work for the jail but that a lead engineer (Sean Stanley) handles most jail responsibilities.
During general discussion the board noted a staffing addition in the highway department: Jo Siesker (formerly the city of Pekin engineer) joined county highway engineering staff. A board member said this brings the highway team to a larger complement of engineers and called the hire a "big addition to the team." The committee also welcomed Tim Shelley as a new member of the county communications team.
