Volunteer railroad group objects to proposed fee for park service
Representatives of the Central Pasco & Gulf Railroad told the Pasco County Commission they operate a free, volunteer-run train in a county park and oppose a proposed contract that would require fees and service contributions.

Jerry Smithson, a volunteer who identified himself as vice president of the Central Pasco & Gulf Railroad, told the Pasco County Board of County Commissioners on Feb. 25 that the group operates a volunteer railroad in a county park and carries about 10,000 riders a year.
