Commissioners agree to wait for July population data before redrawing commission districts
County staff briefed the commission on the three‑year review of commission districts. Using 2022 data the largest–smallest district difference was about 9.22%, within the 10% threshold. Commissioners opted to wait for Secretary of State population certification on July 1 and to reassess in September before deciding whether to redraw boundaries.

Shane Crowell briefed the Miami County Board of County Commissioners on the statutory three‑year review of commission district boundaries. Crowell said the county’s last review had been completed in late 2022 and that case law and county counsel guidance inform how population equality and compactness are assessed.
