Committee authorizes bids for Riverside Cemetery office and chapel renovations

The Building's Utility and Utilities Committee on Feb. 19 authorized staff to advertise for bids and enter into a contract to renovate Riverside Cemetery's office area and chapel, using $295,000 from the cemetery's endowment (capital) fund. Councilman Bob Phillips, sitting in for Chair Samuel Pierce, said the members present voted unanimously to proceed as staff recommended; Councilwoman Lynn Snee was recorded as present.
