Commissioners approve Centos contract for six automated external defibrillators

Rogers County commissioners voted to enter an agreement with Centos to acquire six automated external defibrillators (AEDs) for county facilities.
County staff said the county needs 10 AEDs to cover the courthouse, each district office, the county warehouse, the 911 center and the election board, but the sheriff's office will use a different vendor and will handle its own units. Staff gave the unit price as $112.50 each and said the vendor offered $200 trade-in credit for the county's old units.
Commissioners voted to approve the county entering the Centos agreement for the six units that the county will purchase and arrange billing and signatures consistent with each office's preferences. The board recorded the motion as carried.
Background: staff said Districts 1, 2 and 3 would be responsible for paying for some units in their districts and that the courthouse would cover four units plus the county building and the election board for a total of six units under the county bill. Staff also noted the sheriff's office already uses a different vendor and will not be included under the Centos contract.
