Prairie Ridge High School administrators used a board presentation Tuesday to spotlight the facility work, sustainability upgrades and wellness programs that keep the school running and support student learning.
Dr. Cook (presenter) said the school pursued U.S. Department of Education Green Ribbon–style certification to examine environmental sustainability, literacy and wellness at the building level. “We didn’t get it,” Dr. Cook said of the certification, but he added that the application process “was like an audit of all sorts of systems of the schools” and produced useful information for the building.
