Tippecanoe County commissioners on Feb. 18 approved personnel changes in the recorder's office that eliminate two supervisor positions and create two document processing analyst positions, county staff said.
Sadie, speaking on behalf of the recorder's office, asked commissioners to eliminate the UCC supervisor position at a comm 4 and the data entry supervisor at a comm 3 and to create two document processing analyst positions at comm 3. "This was approved by the personnel committee, cleans up her office a little bit as everybody is cross trained," Sadie said.
A commissioner moved to eliminate the two positions and create the two document processing analysts; a second was recorded and the motion passed on a voice vote.
Separately, the commissioners approved a reclassification in the commissioner's office, moving the office manager from a comm 3 to a comm 4, citing increased job duties and personnel committee approval. A commissioner moved for the reclassification, a second was recorded, and the motion passed by voice vote.
County staff said the change in the recorder's office reduces one comm 4 to a comm 3 and represents a net personnel classification change; the meeting record described it as a savings to the county. The county did not provide specific payroll savings figures during the public meeting.
