The Navasota City Council on Monday approved an ordinance changing zoning to allow Stone Ridge Phase II, a planned unit development on about 70 acres along the western boundary of the existing Stone Ridge subdivision.
Development Services Director Lupe Diosado told the council the proposal has been before the city several times and that the developer responded to resident concerns before tonight’s vote. “We have kept TxDOT abreast of the project,” Diosado said, citing potential state review of turn-lane improvements along Business 6.
Derek Walton, the developer’s land‑acquisition representative, presented the revised plan and described design changes he said responded to neighbors’ concerns.…
